Liform is going to be presented at New Holland Island, St.Petersburg, Russia

The project LIFORM in collaboration with Lium Labs was shortlisted for NOVA ART competition. The competition received over 350 entries from across Russia, from which an international jury has selected 12 finalists. It will be presented as a part of the group exhibition at New Holland Island (St.Petersburg, Russia). The opening is on the 27th. of June 2019.

The project explores the relationship between mycelium-based materials growing process, form-finding and folding techniques in addition to human-nature interaction. Mycelium is the root like fibrous material mushrooms grow from. It’s mostly composed of chitin, the natural polymer found in the exoskeletons of crustaceans insects and the shells of molluscs.

Stay tuned, we're going to publish the whole project soon.
